The organizing committee, led by the head organizer, is engaging colleagues and experts across the Nordic, Baltic, and Euro-Mediterranean regions to promote the upcoming international conference. In collaboration with the Anna Lind Foundation, the German-Baltic Foundation, and the Green Habito & EuroMed networks, these meetings highlight Estonia’s role as a global leader in digital governance, democratic resilience, and high-impact international cooperation—showcasing how a small nation can set big standards on the world stage.

  • Latvia – German-Baltic Youth Conference (16-19th October in Riga – Library of the University of Latvia)
  • Denmark – Stakeholders and Nordic Experts meeting (6-9th November in Copenhagen  – Aalborg University)

Estonia’s development cooperation has achieved notable progress by leveraging its own experience of post-Soviet transition and digital transformation to support partner countries, particularly in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Africa. Its initiatives emphasize good governance, e-governance, cybersecurity, and digital innovation, helping countries build transparent institutions and modern public services. Estonia has also prioritized education, capacity building, and gender equality, fostering inclusive social and economic development. Additionally, through targeted humanitarian aid, climate resilience projects, and regional cooperation, Estonia has strengthened international partnerships, demonstrating that even a small country can make a significant impact by sharing knowledge, technology, and best practices.

We are kindy inviting interested organisations/people/experts/officials and bussiness representatives to take part in the upcoming security and civil society conference  2025 titeled “The impact and effectiveness of development cooperation on European and global security in time of turbulence” what will take place in Toila, Estonia from 4-7th December 2025. The conferene will include an intensive programme of high-level discussions, working groups, development of the civil society initiatives and which brings together a unique network of civil society, officials and business representatives. The purpose of conference is to discuss existing challenges, share views and experiences on development cooperation, humanitarian aid and foreign and security policy.
