In frame of Green and Digital Transition Conference 2023 the young people and CSOs have discused how to  broaden and strength cooperation and dialogue between the education and youth sectors, develop individual knowledge, skills and attitudes linked to the green and digital transition by introducing good practices and tools, innovative methodologies and existing solutions. Registration for Green and Digital transition conference 2023 is open

Registration for the Green and Digital Transition Conference 2023: “Towards a fair green and digital transition through youth skills development” is open. We will share experiences and knowledge in green and digital transformation and intercultural communication at the conference by enhancing young people’s networking and cooperation opportunities with stakeholders. Participation is free of charge, but you will need to register yourself. Registration is open until 28th November 2023 or until seats are available.

Declaration on Social Transformation

In frame of Green Habito annual conference 2023 the European CSOs have discused the contribution of civil society and the promotion of cooperation with business and state sectors in meeting the goals of sustainable development, integration of sustainable lifestyles, environmental protection and circular economy and overconsumption, introducing good practices, innovative methodologies and existing solutions. The network declaration has been developed and presented.

This imitative is dedicated to celebration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations and 100th anniversary of Estonian Republic, also its a contribution of Estonian civil society to support Estonia in the UNSC 2020-2021.

THE MAIN AIM

The main aim of prep meetings- conferences (in Feb 2020 in Tallinn, Estonia and Jun 2020 in Sousse, Tunisia) is to plan the Global Event in Tallinn and a series of Regional Meetings before it.  All these meetings will contribute to the UN’s Global Conversation  and promote mutual understanding and cooperation between Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas and the Island States.  The whole series of meeting happens in the context of the UN’s aim to “Reinvent Multilateralism for the 21st Century”. 

ADDITIONAL OBJECTIVES

Additional objectives include:

  • To reach conclusions on how better to promote and spread knowledge / awareness of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, Human Rights instruments and international legal frameworks;
  • To explore how to use Digital technologies to promote and engage communities and individuals to help achieve the UN SDGs and human rights protections;
  • To identify how UN SDGs may be implemented on local and international level;
  • To share practical skills on how to utilise the existing international and UN human rights instruments to improve good governance and develop better tools for good governance.
  • To build a network of civil society organisations, government representatives and other relevant organisations to implement the outputs of the Global Event and the UN’s Global Conversation;

TARGET AUDIENCE

The international event is open to representatives from UN system organisations, intergovernmental organisations, governments, ministries or departments, international donors, national and regional human rights institutions, Civil Society and youth organisations, educational institutions and interested individuals.

METHODOLOGY

The programme will consist of plenary lectures/speeches, panel discussions, workshops, study visits and Round Table / World Café discussions involving all participants. Participants will be expected to share their experience – and emphasise to younger participants their perspectives on the ‘art of the possible.’ They will also be expected to deliver targets and action ideas for implementation at local, national and international levels.  The focus will be to contribute effectively to the UN’s Global Conversation – and get schools, communities and individuals involved back in their home countries.

OVERVIEW OF PREPARATION PROCESS

  • November 2019 – International Committee of organizers has set the main frame of cooperation and themes of future events
  • December 2020 – International Committee of organizers has set the preparation agenda and communication strategy
  • January 2020  – International Committee of organizers lunched  an official registration of I prep meeting in Tallinn, Estonia 2020 and  published an official web-page of the serious of events WWW.UNSDG.EE 
  • I preparation meeting “The role of global cooperation in building the future we want” is take place on 20th – 23rd of February in Tallinn, Estonia (Tallink  Spa & Conference Hotell)
  • 2-5. April 2020 meeting of International Committee of organizers in Croatia, in frame of Anna Lindh Foundation MEDForum 2020 (cancelled)
  • May 2020  call for experts and papers for the Global event in Estonia “UN 75 – The future we want”
  • II preparation meeting “”  in Sousse, Tunisia – 6-11 September  2020
